COVID Updates

In the summer of 2021, we welcomed students back to BLC with the precautions outlined below.  Risk management plans for our 2022 conference may change as the summer nears.

Thank you for your patience as we plan.

We will host BLC on the Queens University of Charlotte campus. They are committed to student safety, and they will provide these safety measures:

  1. Enhanced disinfection in high-touch common areas.
  2. Hand sanitizer stations around campus.
  3. Disinfection supplies for personal space where housekeeping service is not available.

In addition, we will limit the number of delegates and create smaller groups. We will also require masks or cloth face coverings worn properly. They must cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin.

A limited number of Single-occupancy rooms are available for delegates who prefer that option. [There is a $35 surcharge for this option.]

Delegates and staff will complete daily health screenings and temperature checks.

Equally important, you can take specific steps to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure or spread:

  1. For 2 weeks before BLC, monitor yourself for COVID-19 symptoms.
  2. Bring masks or cloth face coverings to wear during the conference.
  3. While you are at BLC, use the provided hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and warm water often.
  4. Stay 6 feet apart from other delegates and Staff while you are at BLC.

After you register for BLC, watch for our emails! We will send more information and updates so everyone can be informed and prepared!
